Get Pro- Emoji: Discord recommends 128 x 128. The file must be under 256 KB
- Sticker: a PNG, exactly 320 x 320, up to 512 KB
- File uploads: 20 MB on a free account, 50 MB with Nitro Basic, up to 1 GB with Nitro
Checked against Discord's support pages in October 2026. The 20 MB free limit dates from August 2026, when Discord raised it from 10 MB. Discord says it is testing different upload limits, so yours may differ.
Emoji. The preset makes a 128 x 128 square from the middle of your image and brings the file under 256 KB. A PNG stays PNG, so a transparent background is kept.
Stickers. Discord only takes PNG for a still sticker, so the sticker preset saves a PNG whatever you drop in. A sticker has to be exactly 320 x 320, so it is never made smaller to hit 512 KB. If a very detailed image will not fit, the tool says so.
This tool makes still images. Animated emoji and stickers need a GIF or APNG, which it does not produce.
Pick "Any image, under 20 MB". The photo keeps its dimensions if it can: the quality is lowered first, and the image is only made smaller in pixels if that is not enough. On Nitro Basic or Nitro, type your own limit in the Max file size box.
- Drop your JPG, PNG, or WebP image into the box above
- Pick emoji, sticker, or upload from the preset list
- Click Resize
- Download the image and add it in Discord
Your images never leave your device. Resizing happens in your browser with the Canvas API, and nothing is uploaded. The resized file is a fresh drawing of your image, so it carries none of the original's EXIF data: no camera model, no GPS location.
This is why we run entirely in-browser: if we can't touch your files, we can't lose them, leak them, or profile them.
