We defeat: corporate attribution ("Made with CapCut"), platform lock-in mechanisms, user-identifying metadata (device serials, per-capture UUIDs, GPS), and fingerprints tuned for advertising or tracking.
We don't defeat: CSAM detection (PhotoDNA / NCMEC hashes), copyright enforcement on works you don't own, court-ordered forensic evidence chains, or content-authenticity systems (C2PA is opt-in only, with clear disclosure). Those exist for reasons we support.
When you purchase Pro, your license is tied to your email. CrunchBox stores it in your browser's local storage -- no account needed, no passwords.

What if I only need this once?
Buy monthly, use it, cancel. You keep Pro until the billing period ends. No prorated refund but no penalty for a one-month subscription.
What does lifetime mean?
Buy once for $89, own Pro forever. No renewals, no subscription. Every tool runs client-side in your browser, so even if we sunset the servers, your license keeps working. Lifetime buyers get every future Pro tool we add at no additional cost.
Is my email safe?
We store it to restore your license across devices, to send you the activation link, and to check that Pro is working for you: we note when your browser checks your license, and, if your license includes Deep Scrub, each time you run it, whether it finished, never anything about your files. The Deep Scrub notes are deleted after 30 days. We don't sell it, market to it, or share it. If you cancel and clear your browser data, the record is functionally invisible to us within a month.
Do I need Pro on every device?
No. One purchase covers all your devices. Enter your email on any browser to restore access. We email you a link if you can't remember which browser had it.
What happens if CrunchBox goes offline?
Your license sits in your browser's local storage. As long as you don't clear browser data, Pro keeps working offline forever. Every tool runs client-side: no server calls to process files.
